Dr. Jim Joseph

President/ CEO

 

Dr. Jim Joseph was appointed President and CEO of Gutz Logic in October 2008.  Jim brings over 35 years experience in the semiconductor industry.  Jim's background is strong in applications, FPGAs, and system architecture/ design.  Jim has had 18 patents granted (including co-invention of the first 35mm SLR autofocus chip) and additional filings are awaiting  U.S. Patent Office action.  In addition, Jim has had more than 20 technical publications.  Previously, Jim held senior technical positions at Honeywell, Ramtron, and Actel.  Jim holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara, an M.S.E.E. from the California Institute of Technology, and a  B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Ohio State University.

 

 

Curt Winward

Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer

 

Prior to co-founding Gutz Logic Inc., Curt worked in various design positions for over 14 years.  Most recently, he was a Senior ASIC Designer at PLX Technologies responsible for designing and architecting their PCI(x) to PCI Express bridge chip family.  This includes the PLX 8112 and PLX 8114 bridge chips.  Curt has extensive FPGA, ASIC, and IP development experience.  Curt was granted a patent for his switch fabric design while working for PLX.  Curt holds a B.S.E.E. from Utah State University.

 

 

Chad Magleby

Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering

 

Chad worked as a Senior ASIC Designer at PLX Technologies before co-founding Gutz Logic Inc.  Chad was responsible for designing and architecting their PCI(x) to PCI Express bridge chip family including the PLX 8112 and PLX 8114 bridge chips.  Chad has superior skills and knowledge in the FPGA and PCI Express applications.  Chad has more than 12 years experience in various engineering positions.  Chad graduated with a B.S.E.E. from University of Utah.
